2026 UTME: JAMB Releases Mop-up Examination Results
The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has released the results of the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) mop-up exercise.
Naija News reports that the Board announced the release in a statement issued on Tuesday by its Public Communication Advisor, Fabian Benjamin.
Benjamin said candidates who took part in the mop-up examination could now access their results through the Board’s approved result-checking platforms.
According to him, the results were released following the successful conclusion of the mop-up exercise.
He said, “Candidates who participated in the examination can check their results through the Board’s established result-checking channels.”
Benjamin added that the Board would now proceed with the next stage of the admission process, beginning with the ranking of candidates.
“Following the successful conclusion of the mop-up exercise and the release of the results, the Board will commence the ranking of candidates.
“Thereafter, the printing of results for admission purposes is expected to begin before the weekend,” he said.
The Board also expressed appreciation to candidates and stakeholders for their patience and cooperation during the process.
Benjamin said the successful conduct of the mop-up examination reflected the Board’s commitment to ensuring that affected candidates were given a fair opportunity to complete the examination process.
The mop-up exercise was held on Saturday, June 13, 2026.
The examination served as a final opportunity for candidates who were biometrically verified for the main UTME but could not sit the examination due to challenges recorded at some centres.
The affected candidates were said to have encountered technical glitches, biometric issues or other disruptions during the main examination period.
The main 2026 UTME was conducted between April 16 and April 25, 2026.
With the release of the mop-up results, affected candidates are expected to proceed with checking their scores and await further admission-related processes from the Board.
