We Won’t Allow Anyone Destroy Party Members Image – Seriake Dickson Warns NDC Stakeholders
The National Leader of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), Seriake Dickson, has urged party chieftains to call their supporters to order.
Naija News reports that Dickson made the call on Thursday during an NDC stakeholders’ meeting in Abuja.
He was speaking about the recent criticism directed at the party, noting that they would not allow anyone to destroy anyone’s image within the party.
“I can’t get why some people are painting the NDC in a bad light and why their leaders can’t call their supporters to order for God’s sake.
“When they came in, we accepted that we are going to be partners and build this platform together. They are our flag bearers, all of us will support them go through the general elections and bring Nigerians a government that they deserve.
“We are not going to allow anyone to destroy anybody’s image when you have just come into the party and we have done everything for you,” Dickson said.
Meanwhile, Dickson has stated that the party’s presidential candidate, Peter Obi, was allowed to pick his running mate, Rabiu Kwankwaso, without interference.
Naija News reports that Dickson made the disclosure during an NDC stakeholders’ meeting on Thursday.
He also said the NDC gave Obi the presidential candidate without collecting a dime from him.
Dickson questioned what Obi’s supporters, the Obidients, want from him and the party.
“We gave Obi the presidential ticket free of charge and allowed him to choose his vice presidential candidate without any interference from the party. What else do people want?
“I will have no issues giving the presidential nomination to them. And like I said last night, nobody demanded money from them. Not me or the national chairman.
“At this point, we should be working together to ensure victory at the polls come 2027, and I believe we can do it,” he said.
