Doctors Told Us To Flush And Get Rid Of My Unborn Baby – Illbliss
Nigerian rapper Illbliss has spoken on his long journey to becoming a father, revealing that he and his wife waited about eight years before they finally had their first child.
Naija News reports that he spoke during the Outside The Box podcast, describing the period as filled with hope, prayers, and emotional ups and downs before the breakthrough came.
He explained that the news of their first pregnancy came in an unexpected way.
The artiste said wife had gone to the hospital because they thought she was dealing with malaria, but tests showed she was actually pregnant.
The moment the doctor confirmed it brought strong emotions for both of them, as they had waited many years for such news and had almost lost hope along the way.
The rapper also talked about the birth of their second daughter, which he described as another difficult but blessed experience.
He said the pregnancy came during the COVID-19 period and the baby was born prematurely.
According to him, doctors suggested that they end the pregnancy because they believed the baby might not survive, but the couple refused and held on to their faith.
He added that their decision was based on their religious belief and trust that things would turn out well. Against medical expectations, the child survived and is now healthy, which he described as one of the biggest blessings in his life.
“The doctor said everything was fine, but my wife was pregnant. My wife broke down and I broke down as well. The doctor thought we didn’t want the baby, but he had no clue how long we had waited for that child,” he said.
“Doctors told us to flush and get rid of her because she wouldn’t make it, but we refused. We’re staunch Catholics. We believed God would come through, and God did come through,” he added.
