Commotion As Stray Dog Invade Ebonyi Govt House, Sends Workers Into Hiding

The sudden appearance of a stray dog at the Old Government House, Abakaliki, in Ebonyi State, reportedly caused commotion among workers and visitors within the premises.

Naija News learnt that the dog wandered into the Government House complex along Ogoja Road on Monday during working hours, triggering fear and confusion.

‎Eyewitnesses who spoke with Daily Post said the fierce-looking dog temporarily disrupted official activities, as staff members were seen scampering for safety while others attempted to locate and contain the animal.

According to the aforementioned publication, while the dog appeared disoriented and was moving around the premises in search of an exit, the dog’s owner had yet to be identified.

Meanwhile, efforts are underway to ensure the dog is safely removed from the Government House environment and to restore normal activities.

In other news, the Minister of Works, David Umahi, has described the 2023 election, in which President Bola Tinubu lost the Southeast, as an accident of history, and it will not repeat itself in the forthcoming election.

Umahi stated this while inspecting the ongoing construction of the Abaomoge/Akpoha/Afikpo road in Ebonyi State.

The Minister said he will work with Ebonyi State Governor Francis Nwifuru to deliver 95% of the votes to Tinubu in the 2027 general election.

Umahi said no President can execute the magnitude of projects Tinubu is executing in the state and the entire South East, and challenged anyone who has done something for the region to prove it.

He further stated that the state will run aggressive campaigns to secure Tinubu’s support and reward him for what he has done for the state.
