I Was Wrong – Phyna Apologises After Calling Police Officers Kidnappers

Reality TV star Phyna has withdrawn her earlier claim that some men who arrested her cameraman were kidnappers, admitting that they were police officers carrying out their duties.

Naija News reports that the former Big Brother Naija winner made the clarification in a statement shared on social media after a video she posted earlier sparked widespread reactions online.

According to Phyna, she later discovered that the officers had searched her cameraman and found a crusher inside his bag.

She added that a partly smoked substance believed to be cannabis was also allegedly found in his pocket during the search.

She explained that the discovery led to his arrest by the police and that the issue has now been settled.

Following the development, Phyna admitted that she was wrong to describe the officers as kidnappers and asked members of the public to disregard her earlier statement.

She said, “The group of men who I initially called kidnappers are actually Nigerian police force and they arrested my cameraman because he was in the possession of weed.”

In other news, Phyna has shared her intention to become a mother within the coming months.

She revealed that it is one of the main goals she hopes to achieve before the end of the year and in the early part of next year.
