Makinde Playing Politics With People’s Lives Because Of Presidential Ambition – Teddy A
Media personality Tope Adenibuyan, known as Teddy A, has called out Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde over the kidnapping of schoolchildren and teachers in the state.
Naija News reports that the media personality took to his Instagram story to express anger over the rising insecurity in Oyo State.
He linked the recent school abductions to what he described as poor handling of security responsibilities by the state government.
He said Oyo State receives large yearly allocations meant for security, yet residents still face attacks and kidnappings.
According to him, the state gets billions of naira annually, but schools and communities remain exposed to danger.
Teddy A further claimed that political ambition may be affecting leadership focus, saying that attention is shifting away from protecting lives.
He wrote: “Oyo state gets 12 billion naira annually for security vote from the federation, that’s 84 billion naira in seven years. Yet Governor Seyi Makinde can’t provide security for his people, he is instead playing politics with the lives of his people for his presidential ambition.”
Naija News recalls that suspected gunmen attacked two communities in Oriire Local Government Area on Friday, May 15, 2026.
During the attack, two people were killed while several pupils and teachers were abducted.
Two days after the incident, one of the abducted teachers from Community High School, Ahoro Esinele, identified as Michael Oyedokun, was reportedly killed by the attackers in a video that later surfaced online.
