2026 FIFA World Cup: Squad Lists Of All Africa’s 10 Representatives

Africa’s 10 representatives at the 2026 FIFA World Cup have unveiled their final squads after FIFA officially published the player lists for all 48 nations competing at the tournament.

The competition, to be staged across Canada, Mexico and the United States, kicks off on June 11, 2026. FIFA confirmed that 1,248 players have been selected for the expanded tournament, with 891 players set to make their World Cup debuts and 357 returning after previous appearances.

Africa will be represented by Algeria, Cabo Verde, DR Congo, Côte d’Ivoire, Egypt, Ghana, Morocco, Senegal, South Africa and Tunisia, with each nation naming a mix of established stars and emerging talents.

Morocco, Africa’s best-performing nation at the last World Cup, will once again be led by Achraf Hakimi, Yassine Bounou, Sofyan Amrabat and Brahim Díaz. Senegal arrive with Sadio Mané, Kalidou Koulibaly and Nicolas Jackson, while Egypt’s hopes rest largely on Mohamed Salah and Omar Marmoush.

Ghana have included Thomas Partey, Jordan Ayew, Inaki Williams and Antoine Semenyo, while Algeria’s squad is spearheaded by Riyad Mahrez, Amine Gouiri and Mohamed Amoura. Defending African champions Côte d’Ivoire will count on Franck Kessié, Seko Fofana, Amad Diallo and Simon Adingra as they seek another strong showing on the global stage.

South Africa, Tunisia, DR Congo and Cabo Verde have also named competitive squads as Africa looks to build on recent progress and challenge for a place in the latter stages of the tournament.

Africa heads into the expanded World Cup with high expectations, particularly after Morocco’s historic run to the semi-finals in 2022.
