EFCC Declares 3 Men Wanted (Photos)
The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has declared three men wanted in connection with different crimes.
According to a public notice on Tuesday, which was signed by the EFCC spokesperson, Dele Oyewale, those declared wanted are Emeka Johnson Iheanacho, Ogadinma Dominic Duru and Khalidur Rahman Mohammad Talukder.
The anti-graft agency disclosed that Iheanacho is wanted for an alleged case of obtaining money by false pretence and criminal diversion of funds.
It listed the last known address of the 48-year-old Abia State indigene as the United Kingdom.
Similarly, the EFCC also declared Duru and Talukder wanted for obtaining money by false pretence and criminal breach of trust.
It listed their last known addresses as Lagos State and London, United Kingdom, respectively.
According to the EFCC, anyone with useful information as to their whereabouts should contact any of the Commission’s offices in Ibadan, Enugu, Kano, Lagos, Gombe, Port Harcourt or Abuja.
Alternatively, the commission said the nearest security agency could be contacted.
Meanwhile, the EFCC on Friday, May 15, 2026, arraigned one Igoin Tokoni Peter, a fake presidential adviser, before Justice Obiora Egwuatu of the Federal High Court in Abuja for ₦25 million fraud.
Naija News reports that Peter, who paraded himself as a Special Adviser to the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria on ICT Development and Digital Innovation, was arraigned on a four- count charge bordering on impersonation and obtaining under false pretence to the tune of ₦25 million.
He pleaded not guilty to all the charges when read to him, after which the prosecution counsel, Christopher Mshelia, asked the court for a trial date and that the defendant be remanded in Kuje Correctional pending the date of his trial.
Justice Egwuatu, while delivering his ruling, admitted the defendant to bail in the sum of ₦400 million with two sureties in like sum.
He added that both must be resident in Abuja, one must be a property owner who must submit property documents, a passport photograph and means of identification.
The second surety must be a civil servant on grade level 15, who must also submit their office identity and passport photograph.
The Judge further ordered that the defendant be remanded in Kuje Correctional Centre, pending the fulfilment of his bail conditions, while the matter was adjourned to July 16, 2026, for commencement of trial.
