Kano NDC Candidate Vows To Defeat APC In 2027
The governorship candidate of the Nigerian Democratic Congress (NDC) in Kano State, Aminu Abdulsalam Gwarzo, has expressed confidence that the party will unseat the current administration in the 2027 election.
Naija News reports that Gwarzo spoke while addressing supporters during the affirmation of his candidacy.
The former deputy governor said the NDC and members of the Kwankwasiyya movement were united and determined to bring a new direction to Kano State.
Gwarzo said supporters of the movement remained committed to the political ideals of its leader, Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso.
“We are the followers of Kwankwaso. We are here, and we continue to pray day and night. By the will of Allah, this government will be defeated in a single stroke,” he said.
He added that the enthusiasm among members of the Kwankwasiyya movement showed that political change was possible through democratic means.
The NDC candidate said grassroots mobilisation and sustained engagement with residents would be central to the party’s strategy ahead of the election.
He urged supporters to remain peaceful and law-abiding as political activities intensify across the state.
“We must continue to reach out to the people and expand our base. At the same time, we should remain calm and respect the law,” he added.
Gwarzo also called on Kano residents to assess the performance of political leaders carefully and make informed decisions when it is time to vote.
