Atiku Meets Adamawa ADC Stakeholders, Urges Stronger Party Mobilisation
Former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar, on Thursday night, met with stakeholders of the African Democratic Congress in Adamawa State as part of efforts to strengthen the party’s structure and expand its membership base in the state.
The meeting brought together party leaders, influential members and grassroots coordinators from across Adamawa for what participants described as a strategic engagement on the future of the party.
During the meeting, Atiku emphasised the need for strong organisational structures and continuous engagement with party members at all levels.
According to him, political parties often face challenges in mobilising supporters and maintaining enthusiasm among members, but such difficulties can be overcome through effective planning and inclusive leadership.
“We reviewed the current state of our party, particularly regarding the ongoing registration of members and mobilisation efforts. We are confident about where we stand now and enthusiastic about prospects,” he wrote on 𝕏 on Friday.
The former vice president noted that building a successful political party goes beyond increasing membership numbers.
He stressed the importance of establishing systems that encourage participation and accountability while ensuring that members remain connected to the party’s vision.
According to him, party leaders must deepen their engagement within communities and strengthen grassroots networks across the state.
Atiku also urged party stakeholders to prioritise youth engagement and ensure that the ADC’s message reaches every part of Adamawa.
He encouraged leaders and coordinators to intensify mobilisation efforts and build stronger relationships with communities as part of the party’s long-term growth strategy.
