You’ve Crossed The Line – Peter Okoye Threatens ๐ User For Insulting His Mum
Nigerian singer, Peter Okoye, has responded angrily to a social media user who posted offensive messages about his late mother, Josephine Okoye.
Naija News reports that the poster identified as Ademola Ogudu accused his mother of being bitter and judgmental during past family disputes, claiming she opposed Peterโs marriage to a Yoruba woman.
The user also used derogatory and inflammatory language aimed at Peterโs family.
He wrote: “P.square’s mother is a Bigot, she bitterly fought Mr Peter back when the fool was alive, because her son got married to a Yoruba woman, na Yoruba hate no make that useless no woman live long.”
Reacting, Peter Okoye described the messages as unacceptable and deeply hurtful.
He demanded that the posts be removed immediately and called for a public apology, warning that he would take legal action if the insults continued.
“This post about my late mother is unacceptable and deeply hurtful. You’ve crossed the line. Take it down and apologize immediately, or I will take legal action. This madness on social media must stop.๐”, he replied.
The user later apologised for the post.
He wrote; “Dear @PeterPsquareย I want to sincerely apologize for the disrespectful words I used about ur late mother,I realize now that what I said was hurtful,inappropriate,and completely out of line. There is no excuse for bringing ur family, especially your mother, into anything.
“I take full responsibility for my actions,I understand if this has caused offense or pain,and for that I am truly sorry,It was wrong and I will do better moving forward. Pls accept my sincere apology, @PeterPsquare @rudeboypsquare u guys are legends, respect to yu my brothers ๐ซก.”
