In a related development, the President of the United States, Donald Trump, has issued a stern warning to Iran against any form of retaliation following deadly strikes carried out by the US and Israel.
Trump delivered the warning in a post on his Truth Social platform on Sunday morning, stressing that the American military would not hesitate to launch fresh attacks if Tehran attempts to strike back.
The warning came amid reports that Iranian authorities had vowed to respond forcefully to Saturday’s strikes, which reportedly killed several senior Iranian officials during high-level meetings.
Confirming the threat in his post, Trump said Iran had concluded plans “to hit very hard today,” adding a blunt caution: “they better not do that.”
