Stanley Nwabali Open To South Africa Or Overseas Move After Chippa United Exit
Super Eagles goalkeeper Stanley Nwabali has confirmed he is keeping his options open as he searches for a new club following his departure from Chippa United.
The former Katsina United shot stopper, now a free agent, said he has placed no limits on where he could play next, whether in South Africa or abroad. Stanley Nwabali, 29, insists his priority is choosing a move that aligns with his career ambitions rather than making a rushed decision.
Speaking on Sports Nights Amplified with Andile Ncube, Nwabali made it clear that he is willing to consider any opportunity that offers the right footballing project.
“I can play anywhere I want to play, there is no restriction,” Nwabali said. “I am open to any club, local or international.”
The Nigerian international has been linked with several clubs across different regions, including South African giants Kaizer Chiefs, Moroccan side Raja Club Athletic, Saudi Arabian outfit Al Ettifaq, and English Championship club Queens Park Rangers.
A potential move to QPR would mark his biggest step yet in European football, offering a chance to test himself at a higher competitive level.
However, Nwabali revealed that, despite the rumours, no formal offers have been made.
“There are no calls yet. The only calls are from my family and friends and people who are shocked at the news,” he said.
As speculation continues to grow, the goalkeeper is expected to take his time before deciding on his next destination.
His focus remains on securing a club that will keep him match fit and ready for the Super Eagles’ commitments in 2026.
