Peter Obi As The Presidential Candidate Is The Fastest Way For Opposition To Lose 2027 Election – Musawa
The Minister of Arts, Culture and Tourism, Hannatu Musawa, has predicted a victory for President Bola Tinubu in the 2027 elections.
According to her, both former Vice President Atiku Abubakar and former Labour Party presidential candidate, Peter Obi, are no match for Tinubu in the election.
The Minister, who spoke during the Mic On podcast with Seun Okinbaloye, specifically declared that the opposition would lose the 2027 presidency in a resounding manner if it fields Obi as its presidential candidate.
She added that while Atiku also remains a formidable opposition, the former Vice President is no match for Tinubu at the polls.
Naija News reports that Musawa was also quick to add that fielding Atiku as a candidate in 2027 would mean the African Democratic Congress (ADC) does not respect the arrangement that power should remain in the south.
The Minister concluded that even a joint ticket between Atiku and Obi can not defeat President Tinubu in 2027.
Asked about the chances of Atiku against Tinubu at the polls, the Minister replied, “I don’t think he is a match, I think he is a formidable opponent. But I do not think in 2027 that Vice President Atiku Abubakar, as much as I admire him, and he’s such a great patriot and like a father of mine, but I don’t think he is a match for President Tinubu.”
The Tourism Minister recalled that the Obidient Movement has vowed not to support Obi as a Vice Presidential candidate, and that would make it easier for him to lose at the polls.
She categorically stated that Obi would lose the 2027 election, and the presence of the former Anambra State Governor as an opposition presidential candidate is the fastest way for the opposition to lose.
“If Peter Obi is on the ticket as the presidential candidate, that is the fastest way the opposition is going to lose this (2027) election, I promise you. And if it’s Atiku on that ticket, it means the ADC doesn’t recognize that the South should maintain power,” Musawa declared.
