An embattled Isese activist, Abdulazeez Adegbola, also known as Tani Olohun, will regain his freedom today, Friday, November 17.

Recall that Adegbola has been in detention at the Correctional Service in Ilorin since August 17, following his arraignment by the Nigeria Police on a five-count charge.

He was charged alongside two Isese adherents with alleged criminal conspiracy, inciting public disturbance, disturbance of public peace, criminal defamation of character, and intentional insult of prominent Muslim clerics in the state.

The other Isese activists are Madam Efunsetan Abebi Aniwura Olorisha, also known as lya Osun; and Chief Ademola Olawoore, also known as Baba Tede.

However, on Thursday, November 16, he was granted bail in the sum of N2 million and three sureties in the like sum.

Speaking with PUNCH Online on Friday, the lawyer to the Isese activist, Ademola Banks, disclosed that his client will be released today.

He said: “The case came up for bail yesterday, and we have been dragging it for some time, but thankfully, we got bail yesterday.

“The conditions are slightly stringent, but we are struggling to comply. We will comply with the bail terms by today, and he will be released on bail. Yes, he will be released today.”
