Emergence Of Ganduje As APC National Chairman Violates APC Constitution - Lukman

The National Chairman of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, has vowed to protect the mandate of the party in Nasarawa State.

Naija News recalls that the Nasarawa governorship election petitions tribunal sacked Abdullahi Sule as governor of the state, and declared Peoples Democratic Party (PDP)’s David Ombugadu as the duly elected governor of Nasarawa State.

However, the APC national chairman has maintained that his party won the March 18 polls and would do all in its power to protect its mandate.

Speaking at a  reception organised in honour of the Nasarawa State Chairman of the APC, Aliyu Bello, at the City Hall in Lafia, Ganduje noted, that the party won, and there is no doubt about that.

The APC national chairman, who was represented by the National Vice Chairman (North Central), Alhaji Muazu Rijau,  said, “We have won the election, and we shall protect our mandate. There is no doubt about it. Nasarawa State belongs to APC, and APC belongs to Nasarawa State. We are in charge, and we will continue to be in charge by the grace of God.”

At the event, Nasarawa State Governor, Abdullahi Sule; his immediate predecessor, Senator Umaru Tanko Al-Makura; and Senator Ahmed Aliyu Wadada (Nasarawa West), among other dignitaries, eulogised the leadership qualities of Bello.

Governor Sule said that Nasarawa only began to witness genuine development in 2011 after the coming of the defunct Congress Progressives Change (CPC), which merged with other parties to form the APC.

He said, “The presence of everyone that I have seen here makes it easier for us to be able to achieve our goals. In reality, APC is Aliyu Bello, and Aliyu Bello is APC.”
