Video: Massive Crowd As Shettima Storms Imo For APC Guber Campaign

The supporters and well-wishers of the gubernatorial candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Hope Uzodinma, who is seeking a second term in office came out in large numbers to show solidarity on Wednesday ahead of the November 11th polls. 

Naija News reports that the Vice President, Senator Kashim Shettima on Wednesday led a host of top stalwarts of the APC to Imo State for the official flag-off of the party’s campaign for the November 11 governorship election.

The event held at the Dan Anyiam stadium, witnessed a mammoth crowd of party supporters, state party leaders, and including the APC National Chairman, Abdullahi Ganduje, Senator Rochas Okorocha, Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu amongst others.

Step Down For Uzodinma – APC Chieftain To LP Candidate, Achonu

Meanwhile, an APC chieftain, Chief Tony Chukwu, has advised the governorship candidate of the Labour Party (LP), Athan Achonu to step down for his counterpart in the APC, Hope Uzodimma.

Chukwu gave the advice at the Imo State Council of Elders’ meeting held at his residence in Umeze 1, Ehime Mbano Local Government Area of Imo State.

He stated that his request was based on an agreement by Imo Elders to reinstate rotational governorship which stipulates that the Imo governorship position shall rotate among the three zones in the state with Governor Hope Uzodimma as the incumbent, being allowed to complete his second term in office.

Chukwu insisted that it has become imperative for the agreement to be implemented as it is being done in Abia, Anambra, Enugu and Ebonyi States.
