Ganduje Mocks Kwankwaso Over FCT Ministerial Snub (Video)

The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Abdullahi Ganduje, has mocked his predecessor in Kano State, Senator Rabiu Kwankwaso, over his failure to be appointed as a minister.

In a 28-second viral video, Ganduje accused the 2023 presidential candidate of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) of supporting the contentious demolition of buildings in Kano.

The APC chairman said the demolition of buildings approved by his administration was the only way Kwankwaso and his political godson and Kano governor, Abba Yusuf, could express their frustration.

He asserted that President Bola Tinubu was smart enough to see through Kwankwaso’s desperation to become the next Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).

The former Kano governor stated these on Monday when he received some of his loyalists and party supporters from Kano state, who paid him a courtesy visit at the APC National Secretariat in Abuja.

Ganduje stated that Kwankwaso and Yusuf are destroying his legacy in the state by demolishing buildings under the guise of sanitising Kano’s master plan.

Speaking in Hausa language, he said:  “Is it not the FCT minister position that he wanted? That was why he demolished buildings in Kano under the guise that he wanted to defend the master plan. If you ask him what the master plan is, he can’t tell you.

“All you will hear is, ‘We will reset the Kano master plan. We have promised Kano people that we will demolish houses even if they are 1,000-storey buildings.’ Look, if an illiterate person does not know he is one, he is certainly blind. That is what befell him.”
