Several Nigerians have taken to social media to express concern over reports alleging that the wife of founder of the Lord’s Chosen Charismatic Revival Ministries Pastor Lazarus Muoka, Joy Muoka is dead.

This comes after some online platforms, (Not Naija News) reported that Joy had died on July 9 following Muoka‘s evangelistic outreach in Ebonyi State.

It was gathered that Joy Muoka sometime ago had undergone a fibroid operation. A report said she was also diabetic.

The Guardian reports that it could not get comments from the church’s head of communications department Pastor Chidi Louis. The newspaper said its correspondent who visited the church in Ijesha, Lagos was unable to get anyone to speak on the matter.

However, Gospelfilmsng.com, a christian website, reports that an unnamed spokesman of the church issued a statement on behalf of the Muoka family.

The said statement reads, “We are devastated by the loss of our beloved Joy. She was an exceptional woman who brought joy and solace to everyone she encountered. We ask for your prayers and support during this challenging time.”

Mourners have since taken to Facebook where the church has a lot of followers to express sadness over the reported incident.

Church Gist, a Facebook platform which follows activities of churches in Nigeria, said in a post on Wednesday “IT IS WELL IN JESUS NAME!

“Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live: John 11:25. We remember Pastor Lazarus Muoka and family at this time. It shall be well with the righteous.”
