Reactions have trailed the position of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) that it will work with the Lagos State Parks Management Committee for the distribution of election materials and personnel in the state.
Recall that INEC Resident Electoral Commissioner in Lagos, Olusegun Agbaje, had said working with the committee led by Musiliu Akinsanya, popularly known as MC Oluomo, would not compromise the forthcoming elections.
Agbaje stated this on Tuesday during the Inter-agency Consultative Committee on Election Security (ICCES) meeting at the commission’s office in Lagos.
The INEC official asserted that the commission was only concerned about meeting up with the high volume of logistics needs for the elections, adding that the movement of the sensitive materials would be monitored by security agencies, party agents, and observers.
Following the development, many Nigerians took to social media to condemn Agbaje for planning to work with MC Olumo, who is a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
See some of the reactions below.
They planned this. MC Oluomo was sent to first announce his availability to work with INEC on logistics.
Then the bigot INEC Lagos REC who disenfranchised thousands of many non yorubas is practically saying MC Oluomo is INEC's best option.

From using MC Oluomo to transport sensitive materials to liking the criticism of a candidate.
INEC Nigeria is not neutral.

MC Oluomo has no business with the coming election, other systems can transport materials, Consult Uber, bolts, and others.
Una no rate us for this country at all😆

INEC wants to move sensitive electoral materials with the help of MC Oluomo and his workers.
Don't we know whom MC Oluomo works for? Should he not be at home that day like every other person?
What kind of rigging is this?

Mc Oluomo is a known Tout, drug kingpin and Motor park leader in Lagos state.
He was groomed by BAT and now he is a willing and ready to kill and destroy for his Paymaster.
INEC cannot use him to distribute materials because he is already compromised.

INEC has engaged MC oluomo's team to distribute election materials.

INEC wants to use MC Oluomo's led parks committee to distribute election materials.
This must be a JOKE.@inecnigeria

This arrangement is flawed. I believe INEC knows MC Oluomo's is strongly linked with Tinubu. Any INEC staff that suggested that must be sanctioned immediately. This is Rejected. pic.twitter.com/E8ehzVmuFB

How the actual hell do INEC intend to work with MC Oluomo and his thugs to achieve free and fair elections?
— NEFERTITI LITE (@FirstObidient) February 7, 2023

Olusegun Agbaje (Lagos INEC Resident Electoral Commissioner) is doing everything to deliver Lagos state to Bola Ahmed Tinubu. He is about to engage the Lagos State Park management committee headed by MC Oluomo to distribute election materials within the state. Nigerians, focus!

Sometimes I feel like I am in the Twilight Zone when I see some madness from our leaders. How on earth is INEC using BATs boy Mc Oluomo boys to move election materials? Seriously? @PeterObi people need to be screaming about this. The audacity in this country is mind boggling 🤷🏿♂️ pic.twitter.com/9PjENfV43P

Dear @inecnigeria, MC Oluomo has NO BUSINESS with the coming election.
Pls don't be unfortunate.

.@inecnigeria @ineclagos is not hiding their partisanship. From planning to use Tinubu’s MC Oluomo for Lagos logistics to liking a tweet that calls Peter Obi an opportunist. Also, remember how Lagos REC called the Igbos migrants. Obidients, this election is between us and INEC. pic.twitter.com/xBrZaX0b5J
