A former Miss Nigeria simply named Foluke Ntukidem has reportedly died.

Naija News learnt that the former beauty queen died at age 75 in her sleep at her Lagos residence on Monday, December 19.

The deceased’s son Mfon Ntukidem, as quoted by the Premuim Times reads: “my mum, Mrs Foluke Abosede Ntukidem (nee Ogundipe) died last Monday, 19th December at age 75.

“She had been Miss Nigeria in 1968.

“We are concluding arrangements and selecting pictures which we will share once concluded.”

The deceased represented Western State at the beauty pageant and won the competition to become Miss Nigeria in 1968.

She succeeded Rosaline Balogun who was the first official Miss Nigeria at Miss World

Ntukdem represented Nigeria at the 18th edition of Miss World held in November 1968, which Miss Australia Penny Plummer won.

Former Lagos Lawmaker Loses Wife

Meanwhile, a former lawmaker representing Kosofe Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Dayo Bush-Alebiosu has lost his wife Yetunde Alebiosu after brief illness.

Naija News reports that Mrs Alebiosu (nee Sotomi) died at a private hospital on Tuesday, December 27.

Aged 48, she was an assistant director at the Lagos State Ministry of Justice.

Her death was announced in a statement by her family on Wednesday.

“It is with heavy hearts and profound gratitude to the Almighty that we announce the loss of our much loved and admired wife and mother.” the statement read.

Born on September 13, 1974, the deceased was the daughter of the late Brigadier General Folusho Sotomi.
