Belgium Superstars Involve in Altercation

Belgium superstar players were reportedly involved in a fight after their shocking loss to Morocco.

According to reports, the altercation involved Kelvin De Bruyne, Jan Vertonghen, and Belgian skipper, Eden Hazard, following their loss to Morocco.

Recall that Roberto Martinez’s team was visibly rattled by the African nation’s surprising 2-0 group-stage triumph on Sunday as there were allegedly violent altercations that needed to be broken up amongst players.

Naija News recalls that Manchester City star, De Bruyne, revealed to reporters that Belgium, which ranks second in the FIFA ranking, are “too old” to win the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.

Following this, the Red Devils were defeated in their second game of the tournament.

In a report after the defeat, Anderlecht defender, Vertonghen tagged his national team’s attacking style as “bad” which involves Man City’s number 10, De Bruyne.

“We probably also attack badly because we are too old. That must be it now, surely? We have a lot of quality up front, but so does Morocco, and they came out better today. This is very frustrating,” he said.

According to RTL Sport, the tensions in Belgium’s camp have reached a breaking point where the three national team players lost their cool following their loss.

More reports, according to Daily Mail, reveal that Chelsea loanee, Romelu Lukaku, took it on himself to calm the tension inside the Al Thumama stadium.
