Aston Villa cruised past Manchester United with a 3-1 victory at Villa Park on Sunday.

It was a fresh start for Unai Emery after switching from Villarreal to the English club to replace Steven Gerard last week.

The former Sevilla coach briskly dragged the Villans away from the relegation zone.

A few minutes from the kickoff, Jacob Ramsey plays in Leon Bailey, who sprints past the Manchester United defence and slams the ball past David De Gea.

With that, Emery’s men immediately put up a startling show for the fans at Villa Park.

United who were captained by the Portuguese star, Cristiano Ronaldo, could not respond to the early lead before Lucas Digne whipped in a glorious free-kick from 25 yards over the wall and into the Red devil’s net.

A few minutes into the game, the England international, Luke Shaw pulled one back for the Red Devils as he chests the ball down just outside the box and hits it on the half-volley,

After the break, Ollie Watkins pulled the ball back for Jacob Ramey, who guides it into the top corner of De Gea’s net.

Erik Ten Hag’s men still maintain the 5th position in the league standings with 2 points ahead of Brighton. While Aston Villa moved to the 14th place in the table with 19 points behind the league leaders, Arsenal.
