2023: We Will Repay You For What You Have Done – Badaru Tells Tinubu

The Governor of Jigawa state, Muhammad Badaru, has promised that the Northern part of the country will repay the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Bola Ahmed Tinubu, for what he has done for them.

The governor made the promise in Kano on Saturday while welcoming the APC flagbearer to the commissioning of APC campaign offices in the state.

Naija News reports that Tinubu was welcomed by some Northern APC Governors at the Mallam Aminu Kano International Airport, Kano alongside thousands of supporters.

Addressing party supporters, Badaru stated that Tinubu is the only person who supported five Northern presidential candidates.

He disclosed that the former Lagos state governor was a great help to Shehu Shagari, Umar Musa Yar’adua, Atiku Abubakar, Nuhu Ribadu and President Muhammadu Buhari when they contested for the presidency in the past.

Badaru argued that it is time to repay Tinubu back for his dedication towards the North.

He said, “Tinubu is the only friend to the north, he supported five different northern presidential candidates including Shehu Shagari, Umar Musa Yar’adua, Atiku Abubakar, Nuhu Ribadu and President Muhammadu Buhari.

“So it is payback time and we are ready, we are honest people, we respect keeping to our promise and we are ready to compensate you for what you have done for the North.”

The governor urged the Northerners to come out in masses and fully support Tinubu.
