Reno Omokri Slams Kashim Shettima For Putting On Gym Shoes To NBA Conference

Former presidential aide Reno Omokri has reacted to the footwear worn by the ruling All Progressives Congress vice presidential candidate, Kashim Shettima to the Nigerian Bar Association, NBA, Annual conference on Monday.

Naija News reports that the Annual General Meeting of the NBA is being held at the Eko Hotels and Suites, Victoria Island, Lagos.

The 2022 NBA AGM is themed, “BOLD Transitions” and its General Conference is expected to hold between August 19 and 26, with the opening ceremony happening today (Monday).

Shettima, was also present at the event to represent the presidential candidate of the party, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu.

However, Omokri has taken to Instagram to condemn Shettima over his footwear.

The PDP stalwart berated the former governor of Borno state for wearing a pair of gym shoes while on a suit.

He wrote: “This is Tinubu’s running mate, Senator Kashim Shettima, at the NBA Annual General Conference earlier today. Look at his feet. Who in his right mind wears a suit and tie and then puts on a pair of gym shoes? If Shettima does not know how to dress himself to a formal conference, how will he be able to address Nigeria’s many challenges?

“Imagine if this were the United Nations General Assembly. What will his dress sense project about Nigeria? A man who cannot package himself is very unlikely to package progress for a nation that has been damaged by the All Progressives Congress government of General Buhari! If you are a foreign investor, would you want to invest in a country where the Vice President is seen in public like this? The man heard NBA and thought it was National Basketball Association. That is why he wore gym shoe on top of suit and tie. Running mate wearing running shoes! No be juju be that?”
