Media personality, Denrele Edun has reacted, after being dragged for lying on Big Brother Naija Reality TV show applicants.

In an interview with Vanguard, Denrele admitted to being instrumental in the show, stating that he gets a lot of nudes and monetary offers from people who wanted to go for BBNaija.

He said: “I get a lot of nudes from people who want to go for BBNaija. I get all kinds of monetary offers. I have gotten N100m, N50m, N30m and I tell people go and do something reasonable with your money.”

Reacting to the post, a lady faulted the words of Denrele as she questioned how anybody would offer such money when the grand prize of the show is the same amount.

She wrote: “How can anybody offer you 50 or 100 million to go to a show where the grand prize is the same amount? I don’t think if you have 50 or 100 million in your account, BB9JA will be your problem.”

Another social media with the handle ms_esthee___e defended Denrele and wrote: “so many y*hoo boys seeking for fame and legal validation see big brother as a way to legit their hustles… same with the ladies… I wouldn’t doubt everything @denrele_edun says because he knows what happens behind closed doors.

“They just deceive you that they want the money but they’re seeking a higher platform for bigger goals and international recognition.”

Denrele also responded by saying that many people are more desperate for fame than fortune.

He wrote: “@ms_esthee___e WELL SAID! Most times, they mention these staggering sums to buy time or pique your interest. Then there’s also the angle of “Help me enter the house and then once I’m out, we will share all my Winnings 50/50!”. My dear, YOU’RE on the same wavelength as myself. Nothing to brag or lie about here, People are more desperate for Fame than Fortune these days! That said, I’m a Honest Kid and won’t step outta line.”
