Two Feared Killed As Gunmen Attack Enugu Police Checkpoint

There was apprehension in Anambra following the killing of at least seven persons in different parts of the state.

Naija News learned that the unknown gunmen invaded some villages in Orumba North and Idemili North Local Government Areas of the state on Sunday.

The gunmen reportedly killed a mother and four of her children at Isulo village in Orumba North Local Government Area and killed another man in Nanka in the same local council.

It was learned that the gunmen also invaded Abatete in Idemili North  LGA and killed two persons during the attack.

Reacting to the sad incidents, Anambra Police spokesman, Ikenga Tochukwu, said the command would release a statement regarding it on Monday.

Meanwhile, the Spiritual Director of the Adoration Ministry Enugu, Rev Father Ejike Mbaka, has revealed the characters expected from the successor of Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi.

Recall that the cleric dismissed the claim that he endorsed a governorship candidate ahead of the 2023 governorship election.

Mbaka while speaking on Sunday said his prayer is that God would give the people of Enugu State a peacemaker as the next governor of the state.

The priest on Sunday received a governorship aspirant of the Peoples Democratic Party, Barth Nnaji, at the Adoration Ground in Emene Enugu.
