The Minister of Transportation, Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi, has received the N100 million All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential expression of interest and nomination form.
Naija News reports that Amaechi, who is a former Governor of Rivers State, made this known in a post on his Twitter handle on Thursday night.
He wrote: “I just got my expression of interest and Presidential nomination forms. I appreciate my friends and associates for doing me this honour.
“I assure you that I am a representation of all tribes and regions. A true Nigerian candidate.”
With the purchase of the APC presidential form, Amaechi has joined Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, Jigawa Governor Abubakar Badaru, Kogi Governor Yahaya Bello, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Minister of State for Education Chukwuemeka Nwajiuba, Pastor Tunde Bakare, Senator Rochas Okorocha, Ebonyi Governor David Umahi and Senator Ken Nnamani in getting the form ahead of the ruling party’s primaries.
A female presidential aspirant, Uju Kennedy has also picked her forms after paying the sum of N30m as directed by the party, among others.
Aspirants that have indicated interest but are yet to pick their forms are, Ekiti State Governor, Dr. Kayode Fayemi, former National Chairman of the party, Adams Oshiomhole, Minister of Niger Delta, Godswill Akpabio, former Governor of Ogun State, Senator Ibikunle Amosun, a former House of Representatives Speaker, Dimeji Bankole.
