Buni Reverses Bello’s Convention Sub-committees, Removes CECPC Members From Coordinating sub-c’ttee

The Chairman, APC Caretaker Extraordinary Convention Planning Committee (CECPC), Mai Mala Buni, has dumped the sub-committee for the national convention earlier adopted by his Niger State counterpart, Sani Bello.

Naija News reports that this move follows his meeting with President Muhammadu Buhari in London on Wednesday and the directive sent to APC governors.

The Yobe Governor also removed members of the caretaker committee from the Central Coordinating sub-committee of the national convention and reverted to his original list.

Buni, however, named himself and the National Secretary of the committee, Senator John James Akpanudoedehe as Chairman and Secretary of the sub-committee.

He restored Governor Babajide Sanwoolu of Lagos State as Chairman of Media and Publicity Sub-committee and Femi Fani-Kayode as Deputy Chairman.

Buni also dropped Kano state Governor, Umar Abdullahi Ganduje as Chairman of the Protocol sub-committee, naming instead, the Kogi state Governor as Chairman of the Security/Protocol sub-committee.

He returned Ganduje to his earlier role as Chairman, Subcommittee on Accreditation of Volunteers/Diplomats/Diaspora/ Observers.
