Niger State Governor, Abubakar Sani Bello has told the newly-inaugurated state chairmen of the All Progressives Congress (APC) to work towards reconciling all aggrieved persons in their respective locations.

This is as he reiterated the need for the party to be united across all levels if it will win the 2023 elections.

Naija News reports Governor Bello gave the charge on Monday at the APC National Secretariat in Abuja when he presided over a meeting of the APC Caretaker/Extraordinary Convention Planning Committee and inaugurated State chairmen of the party.

The Niger State Governor stressed the need for all aggrieved persons to sheath their swords and join hands in working for the party.

“By the time you get back, you will unite the party in your various States,” Governor Bello said.

“Please, please, please, let bygones be bygones. You have to bring everyone together, those that were for you and against you.

“What we want is a united, unified APC in your various States, because we have elections around the corner and we hope and pray that by God’s grace, we will have a better result in 2023 than in 2019,” Bello added.

Meanwhile, the ‘confusion’ in leadership currently rocking the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) has attracted a reaction from former Kogi lawmaker, Senator Dino Melaye.

This is as it remains unclear if Niger State Governor, Sani Bello has fully taken over as the chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Caretaker/Extra-ordinary Convention Planning Committee (CECPC) or Yobe Governor, Mai Mala Buni remains in charge.

Reacting to the development, Melaye took to his Twitter page where he made two separate comments.

First, he shared a photo of himself mocking the APC with a caption: “RIP APC: 2014 – 2022. 8 Years old. Gone too soon. Announcer- SDM.”

Later, he also wrote: “How not to run a political party. President Buhari released Executive Order 009 of 2022. If na true say Buni don go ….e mean say soja blood no dey change sha. Oga ooooo.”
