‘Igbo People Are Very Harmful To Women’

Media personality Kiki Mordi has condemned the treatment of women by Igbos.

Mordi shared her thoughts after an online campaign demanding a white woman, popularly known as Nwayiocha who is married to an Anambra man from Isuofia, be made the state’s commissioner for tourism by Governor-elect, Charles Soludo.

Nwayiocha is a Swiss woman known for holding the Igbo tradition in high regards.

She is often seen on social media speaking Igbo and eating local meals and also participating in other Igbo traditions.

Mordi alleged that contrary to what people think, white women married to Igbo men are suffering because their men are misogynistic in nature.

She maintained that when the men gets past the initial excitement of being married to a white woman they would naturally gravitate back to their default misogynistic nature.

In other news, gospel singer, Sammie Okposo, has released a public statement to apologise to his wife, Ozioma, after cheating on her with another lady in the United States.

Okposo in the apology which was shared on his Instagram account lamented over the incident which he noted happened in 2021.

The Gospel singer further stated that the development has seen him step aside from ministerial work until “full restoration”. Read more
