Missing Mother Of Two Found Dead In Lagos

Mercy Henry, a mother of two who went missing on December 16, 2021 has been found dead in Ijegun, Lagos.

Mercy was allegedly murdered by her trado-medical doctor who confessed to the crime, LIB reports.

The deceased younger sister, Promise, who confirmed the incident told the publication that Mayowa admitted to committing the crime after three other suspects connected to Mercy’s disappearance confessed.

She further revealed that Mayowa took the police to his backyard where he mutilated Mercy’s body packed them into sacks and buried them.

After Mercy disappearance her family began to call her friends to report her disappearance and asked for information on her whereabouts.

One of her friends identified as Ayo who resides in Port Harcourt informed her family members that on the day of her disappearance Mercy called and asked for a loan due to a health issue.

The money left her account around 1:59pm and when she tried Mercy’s number around 2:02 the number was switched off.

During the investigation, the police used the information of the bank details provided by Ayo and with the assistance of other information provided by First Bank they were able to apprehended the suspect.

During the investigation, the suspect initially said he had not seen Mercy in four years but his phone call and chat said otherwise.

He is currently being held at at the State Criminal Investigation Department SCID.
