The year 2020 Champions League last four clubs to play in the semi-final has been confirmed.

This is following a quarter-final victory for French professional football club, Lyon against Premier League club, Manchester City.

Naija News understands that Lyon on Saturday night, August 15 recorded a 3-1 win over City, sending coach Pep Guardiola’s squad out of the semi-final game. The Ligue 1 side trashed the Premier League club to secure a spot in the semi-final, where they would face German professional football club, Bayern Munich.

The 3-1 victory for Lyon came after Lyon player, Maxwell Cornet scored an opener. Raising hope for the City, Kevin De Bruyne equalized in the second half. However, City’s hope was dashed out after Lyon’s player Moussa Dembele came from the bench and netted a late brace to win the game.

The other semi-final match will have Paris Saint-Germain, PSG take on RB Leipzig. Both matches will be played in Lisbon next week, Naija News understands.
