A 72-year-old man travelling to the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja, on Saturday, August 1 died aboard an Air Peace flight P47182.

Reports revealed that the man had boarded the plane from Calabar, the capital city of Cross River heading to Abuja for a medical check-up before the unforeseen circumstance occurred.

Naija News learnt that the aged man had been on medication before embarking on the journey which he never returned. His death was confirmed a few moments ago by a Port Health official, who revealed that the passenger had no pulse upon the plane’s arrival at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja on Saturday.

According to THE PUNCH, the deceased was escorted to the terminal by his daughter, and as well cleared by Port Health officials at the Calabar airport to fly as he shows no symptoms that warrant restriction of flying.
