NSITF Fund: Ngige Vows To Sue House Of Reps Member Over N2b Allegation

Ngige Slams Resident Doctors Over Plan To Embark On Strike

The battle between the National Assembly and the leadership of the ministry of labour and productivity continued yesterday.

Naija News Understands that Fight started when that honourable Lawmaker representing, ‎Ikeja Federal Constituency, James Faleke accused the minister of labour and productivity ,Dr Chris Ngige of allegedly inserting N2 billion projects in the Nigeria Social Insurance Trust Fund (NSITF) 2020 budget.

The lawmaker allegedly went further to insinuate that the wife of the minister has a hand in the budget paddling committed by the husband.

However, while reacting to the development, Ngige who was furiously angrily vowed to sue Faleke who is also the Chairman of the House of Representatives on Finance.

Speaking further, Ngige said Falake is either being “mischievous or ignorant of the Bureau of Public Procurement (BPP) Act or both”. He also said that Faleke is ignorant of the fact that ministers cannot pad budgets because the final products come from the National Assembly.

Naija News recalls that the Minister of State for labour and productivity , Festus Keyanmo had a clash with the Lawmaker last week during a public hearing on the federal government 774,000 job project.
