The Presidency on Saturday dismissed reports of bad blood between President Muhammadu Buhari and the National Leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

The presidency stated this while reacting to the reports that followed the dissolution of the APC National Working Committee (NWC) allegedly loyal to Bola Tinubu.

Naija News recalls that Buhari had recommended the dissolution of the APC NWC which had been engulfed in a leadership crisis after the suspension of its National Chairman, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole.

Reacting in a statement, the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity, Garba Shehu, warned ‘analysts’ to stop peddling falsehood.

The presidential spokesperson accused opposition politicians of trying to use intellectuals and their supporters in the media to break the Buhari/Tinubu relationship.

He wrote, “To put the records straight: In the formation of this great party and giving it leadership, President Buhari and Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, who are reckoned as the founding fathers of the APC are both inspired by democratic norms, national interest and not at all by partisan motivations. These are the qualities that have made them move past cynical distractions.

“They are in touch with one another. Their relationship remains as strong as ever and between the two of them, only they know how they manage their enviable relationship.”
