The Little Mistake And Internal Disagreement That Made APC Lose Bayelsa And Edo States Won't Happen In 2023 - Giadom

The crisis rocking the All Progressives Congress (APC) keeps getting messier, as a Rivers High Court restrains Chief Victor Giadom from parading himself as member of the party’s National Working Committee having willingly resigned from his position to contest for the position of Deputy Governor in the Rivers APC Guber primaries in 2019.

He officially resigned his position in the National Working Committee (NWC) to contest as running mate to Tonye Cole in 2019 gubernatorial election in Rivers State.

On Thursday as the court re-affirmed Victor Giadom as the party’s acting National Chairman.

The Abuja federal high court in a ruling delivered by Justice S.U Bature ordered that Giadom should continue as the APC acting National Chairman.

It also added that Mustapha Salihu, national vice-chairman north-east, should act as the national secretary.

Shortly after announcing his takeover, Giadom announced he has cancelled the Edo State Governorship screening exercise which disqualified Godwin Obaseki.

He also directed aspirants in both Edo and Ondo states to reappear for fresh screening.

Just about 24 hours after taking over the affairs of the party, another court has restrained him from overseeing the affairs of the party.
