Religious Bodies To Commence Worship As Government Finally Eases Lockdown
Despite the spread of Coronavirus in the country, the Taraba State government has ordered that is people can resume religious activities.
This was announced by the State Deputy Governor, Haruna Manu, during a broadcast yesterday.
He, however urged the people of the state to take precautions, observe social distancing and other safety protocols while observing their religious activities.
He said there would be a gradual ease of restriction of movement and other activities across the State.
Manu further announced that the residents carry out their activities on Friday’s, Saturdays and Sundays, from 8 am. to 6 pm.
He ordered that the lockdown would still be observed on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays.
The deputy governor further note that violators would face strict penalties, while calling on religious leaders and other citizens to comply with the rules.
