With the recent action of the president of the united state, Donald Trump who has pulled out his support health regulatory body for the world(WHO), the source of the agency income was threatened earlier this week.

The founders of the Bill & Melinda Gates took aim at President Donald Trump’s decision to halt the funding at a time the world desperately needed a more coordinated response towards the pandemic.

Melinda Gates, co-chair of the Gates Foundation, indicated that the move is as “dangerous as it sounds” saying that the WHO work is slowing the spread of COVID-19 and if that work is stopped no other organisation can replace them.

However, this action has prompted the well-renowned billionaire, Bill Gates and his foundation to give a whooping sum of a hundred and fifty million dollars to the world health organization.

The foundation revealed this in a tweet shared through its official handle on Wednesday which brings its total commitment to the fight against the coronavirus disease to $250m.

“Today,” the tweet read, “we are committing an additional $150 million to our overall #COVID-19 response bringing our total commitment to more than $250 million.
