1. Buhari Reacts To Attacks On Taraba Communities

President Muhammadu Buhari on Wednesday condemned attacks on Kona and other communities in Taraba State.

The president made this known in a statement signed by his Media Assistant, Garba Shehu, and sent to Naija News.

2. Saudi Crown Prince Involved In Killing Of Khashoggi – United Nations Expert Says

A report by an independent United Nations rights expert has accused Saudi Arabia’s Crown Prince, Mohammed bin Salman of the murder of Saudi journalist, Jamal Khashoggi.

Naija News recalls that Khashoggi was killed inside Saudi Arabia’s consulate in Istanbul last year October.

3. Otedola Confirms Sale Of Forte Oil

Billionaire, Femi Otedola, on Wednesday confirmed the sale of his 75 per cent stake in Forte Oil.

In a message made available to newsmen, the business mogul stated that he wants to switch focus to the power sector.

4. Boko Haram Attacks Soldiers In Borno, Kill 20

Boko Haram insurgents have attacked a military base at Gajiram Nganzai LGA of Borno, killing 20 soldiers and abducting several others.

According to Breaking Times, Boko Haram was said to have come from the axis of Badu, about 45km on the semiarid desert to Gajiram and proceeded from Badu to Gajiram by 4pm in 9 fully-loaded pickup vans.

Senate President Ahmad Lawan has approved the re-appointment of Olu Onemola as his new Special Assistant on New Media.

Onemola was also the New Media aide to former Senate President Bukola Saraki.

A group of Nigerians have warned two of Nigeria’s former presidents, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo and Dr. Goodluck Jonathan against attacking the President Muhammadu Buhari administration.

The group, identified as Concerned Nigerians said both former leaders had their opportunities to put Nigeria on the right track but failed during their time.

7. Osinbajo Laments On Abject Poverty In Nigeria, Says It Leaves Him ‘Sleepless’

Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo has expressed concern over the extreme poverty situation of some Nigerians, noting that it is what gives him sleepless nights.

Osinbajo made this statement at an interactive session with faculty members of the Harvard Business School (HBS) who were in Lagos on Tuesday.

8. Oshiomhole Beaten Up In Edo State

Mr Seidu Oshiomhole representing Etsako West 11 in the Edo state House of Assembly, has been beaten up by some suspected hoodlums, Nigeria Tribune reports.

The lawmaker who is also the direct younger brother of APC national chairman, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole was allegedly attacked alongside 14 other lawmakers-elect in the state.

9. Kidnapped Wife Of NLC Chairman In Taraba State Regains Freedom

The Wife of the Nigeria Labour Congress, NLC Chairman Taraba state chapter Mrs. Abigail Peter has regained her freedom after about six days in the kidnappers’ den.

She was released within the late hours of Tuesday, Channels Television reports.

The Academic Staff Union of Polytechnics (ASUP) on Wednesday reacted to the latest move by President Muhammadu Buhari who signed the Polytechnic Act Amendment Bill into law.
