Czech Republic Striker, Josef Sural Is Dead

28-year-old, Czech Republic striker, Josef Sural has been confirmed dead by his club, Aytemiz Alanyaspor.

The striker was declared dead after the bus conveying several players of the Turkish side, crashed.

Report into the incident has it that the player died at the hospital where he was taken to with six other team mates.

The crashed happened while they were being transported back from a match at Kayserispor on Sunday.

BBC, revealed that former Cardiff defender, Steven Caulker was involve in the accident and was unharmed but was emotionally distraught.

The chairman of the club, Hasan Cavusoglu, while speaking on the incident revealed that the driver fell asleep and the second driver on-board also fell asleep when the accident took place around three miles from Alanya.

Seven of the Super Ligue club players had rented the private minibus, while the rest of the club’s players and staff traveled on a team bus or on their own.

The club took to twitter and wrote, “We have learned with deep sorrow that Josef Sural lost his life as a result of an accident carrying seven football players from Alanyaspor.”

Sural joined Alanyaspor from Sparta Prague in January.

He made 20 appearances for his country, last featuring in their Nations League defeat by Ukraine in October.

The Football Association of the Czech Republic said the news of Sural’s death brought “great sorrow, we will never forget you.”
