Justice Tanko Hussaini, who delivered the judgment on Thursday, held that the Federal High Court judge erred in law by assuming jurisdiction without the plaintiff, Ibrahim Little, joining the necessary party, Yusuf.
The plaintiff had approached the court, challenging the process that led to the candidacy of Yusuf as the gubernatorial flag bearer of the party, saying Yusuf emerged as a candidate through an unlawful process.
This online news platform recalls that a Federal High Court sitting in Kano had on March 4, nullified the governorship candidacy of Abba Yusuf on the platform of the PDP.
It was learned that Justice Lewis Allagoa, the presiding judge of the High Court, ruled that the PDP did not conduct governorship primary election in the state.
