Netflix’s Los Angeles Headquarter Ends Lock-down After A Fake Active Shooter Threat

The headquarters of Netflix situated in Los Angeles on Thursday experienced a lockdown after a gunman was reported to be on the premises.

According to THR, several posts that were making rounds on social media stated that someone was outside the building with a gun.

Sources close to the situation stated that employees were told to stay away from windows and stay where they were and one of the buildings was evacuated.

The Los Angeles police while confirming the incident stated that the suspect who is in custody claimed he had a gun but no weapon has been recovered and there have been no injuries reported.

Reacting to the update, Netflix gave the following statement to employees on the Sunset Bronson lot: “We received a tip about a potential law enforcement incident. Police are conducting a sweep of the lot out of an abundance of caution. There is no immediate danger or threat to our employees. Feel free to share this information with your loved ones.”

Netflix PR representative Don Halcombe also wrote on his social media. “We’ve now received the all-clear from LAPD. There was never an individual with a firearm on the property.”
