Agbakoba asks Abuja court to sack Buhari as petroleum minister

A Senior Advocate of Nigeria, Olisa Agbakoba has filed an application before the Federal High Court in Abuja to sack President Muhammadu Buhari as Minister of Petroleum Resources.

Agbakoba said sections of the Constitution forbid the President from “holding any other executive office or paid employment”.

FG confirms 3 cases of Monkeypox disease

The Federal Government has confirmed three cases of Monkeypox virus from the 13 suspected cases reported from Bayelsa State in September.

The Minister of Health, Professor Isaac Adewole, who announced this on Monday at a press conference in Abuja said the confirmation was the final report from the analysis of the samples which were taken to the World Health Organisation laboratory in Dakar, Senegal.

Nigerian Army commences deradicalisation programme on IPOB members

Following the conclusion of Operation Python Dance II in the South East, the Nigerian Army has revealed that it would soon commence deradicalisation programme for members of the recently proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB).

The deradicalisation initiative was disclosed by the Director, Nigerian Army Civil-Military Affairs, Brigadier Gen. Solomon Kumapaye,on Tuesday in Abuja, while visiting the Director General of National Orientation Agency (NOA), Dr. Garba Abari.

Biafra: Produce Nnamdi Kanu or face unimaginable consequences – IPOB threatens

Proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) had on Monday warned that it would revolt against the Federal Government of President Muhammadu Buhari if it failed  to produce the IPOB leader, Nnamdi Kanu, dead or alive.

The banned group , gave an ultimatum of Tuesday (today) stating that they must see their leader in the court premises.
