Billionaire Kidnapper: Judge hands off Evans court case

Justice Abdulazeez Anka of Lagos Federal High Court, Lagos on Wednesday refused to hear a fundamental rights suit filed by suspected kidnapper, Chukwudumeme Onwuamadike, a.k.a Evans.

Evans filed a cases against the Nigerian police,seeking N300 million as damages for his illegal detention.

Monkey Pox hits Ekiti State, two cases confirmed

MonkeyPox epidemic recently discovered in some states across Nigeria has also hit Ekiti State, just as two suspected cases have been confirmed.

The Secretary to the State Government, Dr. Modupe Alade, who confirmed this in a press conference in Ekiti said: “We have two cases at Okemesi Ekiti. Tests are still being carried out and not until it is confirmed, we can’t come out with any official statement”

40 Boko Haram insurgents surrender to NSCDC

less than 40 Boko Haram insurgents have willing surrendered to the Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps, the  security agency disclosed.

The disclosure was made  by the Commandant of the corps in the state, Ibrahim Abdullahi, during an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria on Wednesday in Maiduguri.

Davido knows how his friend, Tagbo died – Lagos CP

Lagos State Commissioner of Police, Edgar Imohimi said on Wednesday that Nigerian music star, David Adeleke, aka Davido knew about the death of his friend, Umueke Tagbo.

Imohimi told journalists that Davido lied to the police that he did not know how Tagbio was taken to the Lagos General Hospital’s premises and died.

Don’t waste borrowed funds, IMF warns Nigeria, others

The International Monetary Fund (IMF) says the growth being experienced will be at risk if Nigeria and other countries do not put borrowed funds to good use.

Tobias Adiran, the financial institution’s director of monetary and capital markets, issued the warning on Wednesday while unveiling the Global Financial Stability report at its Washington headquarters.
