Zulay Henao was born to Colombian parents on May 29, 1979 in Medellin, Antioquia, Colombia. After four years of her early childhood in Colombia, Henao and her entire family moved to New Jersey, USA.
After graduating from high school inAmerica, Zulay Henao boldly enlisted in the US military. She served 3 years before becoming interested in the entertainment industry. Zulay received the necessary training as an actor at the New York Conservatory for Dramatic Arts.
With her diploma in hand, she was ready to hit the screens. She landed her first screenplay in 2005 in a supporting role in the film Film 101 . Her second film Clear Sight came out the same year, starring Gloria Rojas.
