In 1998, Trevino had his first professional concert in Corpus Christi at Carlos Mencia’s Harbor Playhouse, at the age of 19. With big plans and big dreams, he arrived in Dallas and soon went on his first tour with The Three Amigos, a comedy tour starring Pablo Francisco and the late Freddy Soto, whose comedy style had been compared to that of Steve Trevino.

Prior to that, his work as the home MC AddisonImprov opened up more possibilities for large groups traveling to the club. Trevino then moved to Los Angeles, California, where he continued to climb the ranks to become one of the youngest comedians to lead the Improv Comedy Club and travel the country with the comedy franchise.
