Even though the American rapper is popular as Sheck Wes, the great rapper’s real name is Khadimou Rassoul Cheikh Fall. He was born in Harlem, New York, New York on September 10, 1998, to his immigrant parents. Although the details regarding the name of his parents are not yet known, reports have emerged that they were from Senegal in Africa.

As Sheck grew up, he took a particular interest in listening to music of all kinds, ranging from hip-hop to rap to Afrobeats from Africa. He listened to artists such as DMX, Seun Kuti (son of legendary Afrobeat singer Fela Kuti) and others. Sheck was so in love with old school music.

When he was 5, Sheck and his mother moved to Milwaukee, where he spent nine years before returning to New York at age 14. Sheck Wes began composing his own music at the age of 11. At first, he wanted to play college basketball but was sidelined in high school because his focus and interests completely turned to fashion and modeling. However, he had no idea that he would eventually get into music.

This single garnered massive YouTube viewership with over 49 million viewers in just 9 months. The song became a hit from his 2018 debut album titled “Mudboy.” The album contains 14 tracks which include other hit songs such as ‘Chippi Chippi’ and ‘Live SheckWes Die SheckWes’.

He dated singer Justine Skye who was going to date only to later accuse him of abusing her. She accused him of harassing her and attacking her friends when she went out with her new boyfriend and some of his friends. She also alleged that he beats women. In response to this allegation, he denied beating women and chose to remain silent at first only out of respect for the real victims of abuse. Nonetheless, Skye posted footage claiming he jumped over her fence to attack her.
