The multi-talented man was born on September 27, 1958 with the full birth name Shaun Paul Cassidy. While not much has been revealed about Shaun’s educational background, what is known is that his interest in music dates back to his school days when he signed with the popular Warner Bros Records Inc. under Mike Curb. In 1976 he released his first album in Europe and Australia. The album features a string of hits and also went multi-platinum. The song “Da Doo Ron Ron” charted at #1 in the US and received a Grammy Award nomination for Shaun in the Best New Artist category. As his fame spread, Shaun Cassidy began starring in a TV sitcom created for him called The Hardy Boys/Nancy Drew Mysteriesalongside Parker Stevenson. He then released another successful album entitled Boen Late, but over time the teenage fame he had earned began to wear off.

Shaun Cassidy turned to stage acting between 1980 and 1990, appearing in Broadway productions, most of which premiered at the Mark Taper Forum in Los Angeles. He is also known for reaping a Dramalogue Award for Diary of a Hunger Strike by Mark Sheridan. Shaun’s last appearance on a stage was in Blood Brothers which also starred David Cassidy.
