While not much has been revealed about Shaun’s educational background, what is known is that his interest in music dates back to his school days when he signed with the popular Warner Bros Records Inc. under Mike Curb. In 1976 he released his first album in Europe and Australia. The album features a string of hits and also went multi-platinum. The song “Da Doo Ron Ron” charted at #1 in the US and received a Grammy Award nomination for Shaun in the Best New Artist category.
