Having a top-flight professional basketball player get together with a Victoria’s Secret supermodel definitely makes for a royal couple. Such was the case with NBA star Blake Griffin when he became romantically involved with runway queen and famous reality TV star Kendall Jenner. Jenner’s older sister, Khloe Kardashian, is currently in a relationship with NBA star, Tristan Thompson, and her ex-husband, Lamar Odom, was also a very successful professional basketball player. However, unlike the much publicized love lives of her big sisters, Kendall Jenner has a reputation for keeping her privacy on the low end. The stunning model has done a pretty good job of keeping her relationship with Blake Griffin out of the media spotlight, and as such, some juicy details of their romance have eluded the public eye. Exactly how the pair first met hasn’t been revealed, as the duo barely acknowledged it was an item. Nonetheless, it was reported that the two Los Angeles residents bonded easily after meeting on several occasions.

Griffin was first spotted with Jenner in public in the summer of 2017 and after that things progressed very quickly between the two. Although the two parties were unwilling to give official verbal confirmation, their relationship did not remain a secret for long. They easily became regular hangout friends, and Jenner became a particularly regular attendee at Griffin’s home games with the Los Angeles Clippers.
In early August 2017, duo Griffin and Jennera attended a Kendrick Lamar concert at the Staples Center, after which they headed to a Travis Scott after-concert at the Avenue nightclub in Los Angeles. A few weeks later, the star couple went on a double date with Jenner’s best friend Hailey Baldwin and fellow NBA star Chandler Parsons. The duo continued to hang out together throughout August and into the following months.
In mid-October 2017, the couple also had a special double date at Universal Studios in Hollywood alongside Jenner’s equally famous younger sister, Kylie, and rapper dad, Travis Scott. On October 19, Kendall was spotted on court at Staples Center when Griffin’s Clippers played rival LA Lakers. Similarly, Griffin was there in early November when the model celebrated her 22nd birthday at the restaurant. Jenner was also present on Dec. 8, 2017, when Griffin hosted a comedy show to raise money for his Team Griffin Foundation, the nonprofit he started in 2015.
Why did they break up?
Blake Griffin’s ultra-private relationship with Kendall Jenner came to an end in early 2018. The pair were spotted out in public several times after the Christmas and New Years parties, but it didn’t last long. Their apparent split coincided with Griffin’s move to the Detroit Pistons at the end of January and it’s widely believed, on multiple occasions, that the A-list couple went their separate ways due to distance.
